Mission

NorthFork.info is a resource site for residents of and visitors to the North Fork of Long Island.

Initially we published a directory of "better" eateries in Southold township.  Since we launched, we have expand our coverage to include Shelter Island and parts of Riverhead.  We have since expanded into adjacent sectors (parks, cultural sites, pizza parlors, bars and watering holes, and so on).  Beyond that, the sky is the limit, depending on what moves our spirit.

This website is really a love letter to the North Fork.  If we can generate revenue from it, perhaps through advertising, we will do that.  We do not, however, expect to make our fortunes from this site.  We will not take payment from North Fork businesses for promotion, for placement, or for reviews.  And if we do generate revenue from the site, the excess over our expenses will be donated to local North Fork not-for-profits.
